While the 2024 presidential outcome was not what any of us had hoped for, our wins in the states underscore the power of grassroots organizing and the enduring impact of our efforts. In 2016, Democrats held majorities in just 29 state legislative chambers. Now, they control nearly 40. Likewise, Sister District is now far bigger and more powerful than we were in 2016, which enabled us to endorse more candidates last year than ever before. Together, we won 31 races — an impressive feat in today’s polarized landscape, breaking the GOP supermajorities in the NC House and WI Senate. We also maintained control of the PA House and MN Senate.
